Welcome, traveler! I’m Ben—craftsman, storyteller, and the accidental legend behind Harlequin Fool, a fantasy-inspired leather shop rooted in New Brunswick, Canada. What began as a search for a simpler life led me to a world of myth, motion, and meaning. My journey into LARP (Live Action Role Play) wasn’t planned—it found me. And when it did, I never looked back.
Before all this, I dabbled in MMORPGs like Guild Wars, and tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons. They were fun, sure—but something felt missing. I craved depth: the feel of wind in real woods, the rhythm of footsteps instead of joysticks and dice rolls. I wanted to be the character, not just play one.
That’s when I stumbled into the world of Forgotten Empires—and into my first character, Stickus Yeetus. He’s a wild elf from the Fox Tribe of the Eldar Woods, born of moss and mischief. Descended from high-city bloodlines but loyal only to leaf and laughter. Stickus prefers pine needles to polished floors and foxes to formalities. His adventure really started after he met a noble woman, a priestess in training, on a woodland path. Naturally, this happened by falling out of a bush. Together they grew—spiritually, hilariously, unexpectedly.
In that journey, Stickus began to honor the Goddess Maneah—the Goddess of Luck. And through her, I found my creative fire, coin. Stickus gambled his way to mercantilism and eventually leatherworking.
Every handcrafted leather pouch, satchel, and scroll case is unique. They’re not just made by me. They’re imagined through Stickus’ eyes for his people. His sass, his story, and his soul infuse every stitch.
